Who can enjoy the Whitecliffs Talking News service?

The service is free to anybody in the Dover, Deal or Sandwich area as well as the surrounding villages, who has difficulty either reading or accessing local news and information.

If you are registered blind or visually impaired then you may already know about the Whitecliffs Talking News from the Kent Association for the Blind in Maidstone – if you need to contact KAB then their contact details are on the Links page.

Recently, the need for a local talking news service has become more pertinent with many people isolating, shielding or just housebound due to the pandemic. Whitecliffs Talking News is there for all those who have difficulty in reading local news and information, as well as those who also now have difficulty in getting out to get their local newspaper.

If you, or somebody you know, could enjoy our service but you are not sure about eligibility then please contact us now on
